Our favorite time of year is here. Not only do we have a new fiction titled CARNE VALE - Flesh Farewell, we also are fans of Geng Yin AND Mardi Gras. Next week will be spent celebrating just enough to be sure that we are really celebrating this year of prosperity and determination. "This year is the best year in a long time for an Aquarian born in the age of Aquarius. This year we say Farewell to the Flesh in the most symbolic and important festivals and celebrations of the year.

Introduction of Internet Streams (Pt 2)

Ask people who use the internet what they think of it today, and most will tell you that the think they know how to get around pretty well. The truth is, they really don't know what they're talking about. The next wave of internet savvy user will have more choice, closer relationships, and become better informed. The information they follow will be the information from friends who are connected and not only do they travel and use the internet for their own benefit, the broadcast a stream of their history as they go.

Portable, relevant, and digital, this stream of information will let friends and followers see what they saw, like it or not. The more social that the internet becomes, the more real the internet becomes. No longer will the flow of information be shaped by the writers, programmers, and businesses that promote it, but backing up each bit of information you can find on the internet, there will soon be a follow-up to the data. The follow-up comes from the websites and portals of streams that break down to each person who initiates a connection through one of the most popular and not so popular websites available today.

The practice is being used today on portable devices and desktops around the world. The most visited sites today are those that have hundreds of millions of users interacting with each other outside of business. The sites are using cookies and tracking software embedded in advertiser paid ads. So goes the way of the stream. Instead of a group of followers and fans leaving behind crumbs that others can find and follow, they will be reviewing and recommending not through words% but through actions. Traffic will be organically generated by a stream search bar which takes an excerpt of the information being viewed. Keywords will be used to find friends that share similar information and actively connect using a stream to interact with their friends. Here's an example of what I find most interesting about the whole stream thing. Imagine this: Sean Walsh is getting on the #25 train from the West Belt to Rice University in Houston. The trip takes forty two minutes and instead of cracking a book to study for his midterms he pulls his research pad out from his favorite rucksack, the on the had from his first year in high school. The leather is worn but it it reminds him of his parents, they always wanted him to excel in his studies and his pack proves that they are always on his side. With his pack on his lap and his research pad turned on and immediately he gets notification from his friends. Good morning Sean! Sarah is only other person from high school that goes to Rice and is always one first to say hello. Sarah leaves good mornings on stream the night before so when her friends log on they all now that she was thinking of them.

Sean smiles as he thinks of the small girl with dark hair who has become a great friend since coming to university. Sean minimizes Saran's notice to find a red alert flashing in his task bar. He clicks on the little red exclamation point to see his friend Rick Water's avatar come up in a separate window. Rick's status says "I have the Bio Research Notes on my blog" next to it is the link to his blog and when Sean clicks on the link, Rick is notified that one of his friends utilized his notes.

Sean, Sarah, and Rick are going to be the core group of users who have been utilizing social networks for most of their life. As they expanded their social circles at home, they also advanced their social circles world-wide. These kids will organize the world in such a way that no longer will advertisers be able to create information that will inevitably be read, they risk losing touch with the true user of information online and what they are enjoying unless they are a part of the lifestyle these users interact with. The local economy will be trimmed down to the truest of recommended and trusted shops and retailers. The streaming internet will be partial, private, and most of all, wanted by anyone who wants to be seen online. When Sean, Sarah, and Rick let you into their stream you will be able to take advantage of their expertise, their insight, their knowledge.

So Rick's research pad may be a great tool for him now, what, the iPad changed along with the Kindle. The manufacturer of the research pad rick uses included the best computing, reading, and traditional work tools all in one too. Rick can download and read any book in the world, he can write a book and publish it quickly, he can surf the web, internet, email, but all he really uses it for is school and stream gathering. Following the links his stream shows him or the part of the stream is likes to follow on that day.

rick gets streams from 192 of the best online friends you can find. He selected these streams because they are all relevant to him. to his likes and dislikes, his favorite sports team, race car driver, Rice University professors, classmates, and even from Trudy at his job. Trudy still likes cartoons and even though Sean won't admit it, he does to. So he can see what Trusy has been up to whenever he likes because his stream subscription have everything he needs to get the news he uses and nothing else.

Say Hello to Internet Streams (Pt 1)

Where are you going and where have you been?

Even before making their first dollar online, bright online content developers need to understand what it takes to see their dreams through to reality. People like me know more than they can do and do as much as they can. I have been known to mix things up.

This year there is change in my approach, call it a maturing of the procedure. You and I are expecting to see some good things from Powerfitz Publishing and the content that will be produced in 2010. As a writer I am becoming more aware how valuable each word can be, that is why I am building my very own base of content to market rather than selling it away for practically nothing. "Learn how I made the switch."

Every write needs to look at where they stand against someone like me, I'm poised to make a name for myself and the only things I had when I started was a computer and the internet. If you can write you can make money online. Work for someone else and it's a job. Work for yourself and you have the possibility of making it very big indeed.

Here's a little secret that's not really a secret...

"Content Marketing is what everyone wants right now, and search engines are rewarding streams of original content with the best search results." They might call it a band wagon but I call it band width and with the recent introductions of both Amazon Kindle and now the iPad from Steve Jobs and Apple, The writing for money online trend is moving in a direction that benefits writers and authors and readers alike. The demand for original content to fill the huge amounts of Kindle and Ipad disk space is creating new business models from which to earn an income.

If you are not sure which direction to take your content management, consider keeping it all for yourself and making money from it? The smartest authors are building a private library of "on demand" content that people can come and grab whenever they like. Fans and followers from Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn allow authors and readers to connect.

A business model of content management based on the theory that as the internet evolves into "streams", a business must have "content" first. Take in account that to build a stream with followers takes on average a year or more before any revenue can even begin to be created.

Pamona 2010 Kicks off the Full Throttle NHRA Drag Race Season in 14 days

You know it. The NHRA is back on again in fourteen days and that means that for Team Nitrousfitz and B&D Racing, the season is just a few short weeks away. Right now, the off season was filled with things to do. "It looks like the season will have it's own obstacles too, new and old. The Chevelle project is moving, but appears not to be finished by the time the 2010 drag racing begins for the three drivers and their team at Team Nitrousfitz and B&D Racing. Both dragster came off the end of last year with solid runs. SP4550 is ready right out of the box to win the first race a Houston Raceway Park. The News is big this year and the opportunity is great.

If you didn't know it, the NHRA is introducing Top Sportsman and Top Dragster to the lineup of races at National NHRA drag races. This makes it possible for two out of the three drivers of Team Nitrousfitz to have a showing at a national event this year. The registration procedures are making it hard for us to get in the race, but if this pattern continues, we will surely find our way into all the division 4 national events that feature either the Top Sportsman or Top Dragster classes. "It's what the team was built up to do, to get into the races involves having good results at other divisional events and attendance at more circuit races throughout the year.

The Year of the Author

This year is turning out to be just like they said it would. Literary agents, publishers, and even authors have noticed that wherever they look, there is a new writer working or an experienced author writing more. Connect this trend with the explosion of social media and an American economic slump, there are more writers working from home offices than ever before.

Just ask Nathan Bransford what is different this year than past years, and he'll tell you that there are more queries being sent into publishers and agents than ever before. The reason is simple and it gives authors hope that if it continues they can make a good living creating stories and taking notes of facts about what people on the internet are looking for. Content is King and content marketing is the prince that will carry on the lineage of quality writing pays when it is produced "on demand" and has a following ready to read and rate it's quality. The signs were there all year long, National Writing Month set the ball in motion, and now the best time to prepare a great work of fiction for the internet is right now.

If you're a writer but you are a new writer I can tell you that I know you, you and me are alike. I am a writer who started writing because my reality changed and I agreed to change with it. I am not just another sheep in the crowd though, I am the black sheep. "Here's how I plan on getting myself heard through all the baaaaing."

These are all difficult and time consuming tasks. Each one has it's rewards and by following along a schedule of activity that is effective, you can become as good as you want to be, or purport to be, or are. The internet has not offered more opportunity to the lowly writer than right now. I am leading the way with my marketing as I get the content rolling out that will make the most residual income over the long haul.

Royalties will allow me to pursue the rest of my dreams, and writing about what I dream about is a great place to start earning money from the things I love to do.

I'm scouring the internet for news on the publishing world. What was common place just five years ago is now taboo. It seems that one good thing that came out of the economic down turn is there were more new novelists born in 2009 than any other year on record. Now that the books that were written last year, including the thousands of titles written in November for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

The changes don't stop there. "Publishing is not the same".

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walden Books are just a few of the big names in book selling. They were supplied by publishers from around the world, new authors fell under the spell of their first literary agent, the manuscript was sold and printed and available from these mega book dealers.

Today the landscape has changed for publishers, retailers, wholesalers, and writers. "Writers have more options than ever before to bring a book to market." They have those choices because the consumer is changing their buying habits when it comes to the purchase of original works, books that is. The consumer is driving more content into digital format because it is cheaper to buy, easier to buy, comes from one platform, and an impulse to buy makes it more profitable for the writers who self publish. There are more pay to edit publishers than ever before and the numbers of new release titles will skyrocket for the foreseeable future.

My own first work is available to be read (at least a good portion of it) right from its fan page on Facebook. "Marketing has come to the author in a big way."

Before the internet, at least before amazon, writer's who have to go from bookstore to bookstore pushing their words. Conventions and speaking engagements gave writer's a place to market themselves and their books. Now, Facebook, and Twitter dominate. It's like a virtual convention whenever you turn on the computer. If you don;t have at least 50 friends to tell your story to, then you haven't met the internet lately, and as an author, you are doing yourself a disservice. Get your name, your title, your story online and you might be able to stop worrying about what publisher is going to pick up your next work. Maybe you can do a better job of promoting yourself and your book and now you really have the tools to do just that.

"I'm not going to tell you how to use Facebook but I will tell you that you can do more with that site than make your own personal profile page. There are fan pages that you can make for each title you have, or make a collection page that people can come and follow. Pay for adverts that will bring in more followers and readers will follow that information to your point of sale.

"Now where is your point of sale?"

"Put it on your own website and sell it to your network." Do it like that and you keep everything. While publishers will cut you a royalty percentage, imagine if you could market yourself well enough to drive traffic into your own site, sell the digital copy through email or digital reading script, .pdf, or bound and covered through the mail. You get the best returns but you have to be the one driving sales.

"You can have your cake and eat it to with the right combination of virtual publishing and marketing combined with in store sales of your titles in bookstores like Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com, and the other popular book stores. Online and off, you can get a bigger return on investment when you do as much of the work yourself. It ensures you of the best percentages, you get to keep the most rights to your works, and you will be able to see a future in royalties with the digital text industry booming into 2015.

So, write a damn book if you're out of work. Publish it yourself if you're so inclined. Get the story down on paper and then turn it digital to take your earnings into the future with every new title you write.

I sometimes find myself researching myself. If anyone should know me as well as the internet does, then I decided I would like to know what the internet knew. The internet knows that I was born in January, 1968. The internet knows my address and my telephone number ("well it thinks it does anyways."), and its advertisers know what my preferences are better than me.

If I was an alarmist, I would be scared about how much those nasty advertisers know about me. If I were "average", I wouldn't have to really worry, would I? The average person spends 4 hours a week online, while I toil years away trying to figure out how to turn this keyboard into an ATM. If I'm not worried about those damn advertisers than really, why all the hoopla about who knows what?

This whining is brought to you by the government, who at this very moment is planning on inking the next set of advertising regulations that can place your private information in more danger than it is right now. The truth of the matter is, than when you have to sort through information to decide what is "right" or "wrong", you are analyzing that information more than any algorithym that produces your advertising results today. The idea is "progressive", and you should know that the government could be planning to overwhelm the internet so that they can "fundeamentally" change it. "It's what progressives do when they are hard at work doing what they do".

So who knows me the best? Me? You? The government? I can safely say "nobody" knows me better than my own natural profile of dates and times and the freekin stars, I say this because this year is Gen Yin, "The year of the White Tiger" and this year is the perfect year to get what I want the most, productivity that pays.

The Year of the Tiger begins on February 14th 2010. It is a metal year. and as the stars will have it, if you want to accomplish something big, then this is the perfect year to get it done. I know more about myself than I did before I started this morning, so here is my Chinese New Year Resolution for Geng Yin 2010, the Year of the White Tiger. I will create enough of my own content ot begin my personal library of fiction and non fiction books and articles that will continue to produce revenues long after they are written.

Rick Waters left town with a carnival to escape the sentence handed down on his twenty first birthday by a judge in Palmer. He was going to be free, but at what cost.

Chapter Two

The road from the courthouse to Ludlow was ten miles long and followed the Chicopee River West. It crosses water three times on its way towards Rick's home and the first bridge was just a mile down the road from the courtroom in Three Rivers.

Rick stopped to look over the edge. Below, the Quabog river meets up with the Swift and Ware, spilling together into the Chicopee behind the Tampax factory that many of the villagers relied on for a living. Below the bridge the waters of the Quabog were low and you could see much of the limestone riverbed that would contain the waters when they were high. There is no dam here, and the rivers cut holes and pockets into the stone as it pools above the flat surface of the limestone.

Trees cling to the sides of the river bank precariously situated in between the river and the village's buildings. Here, three rivers converge into one, on their way to Long Island Sound by way of the Connecticut River. The rivers were low because the winter had been warm. Each day the sun had come up and melted what ice had formed at the edge of the river at night and now it was gone. With the sun beginning to wane in the sky Rick realized that unless he got moving he would still be on the road after dark. He began to walk West, not wanting to stay at the edge of the railing for much longer unless to test his own will to continue now that his future was out of his control.

The youngest of four, Rick had inherited the best of both parents, one Irish and one French. His baby face was handsome and his thick black hair was unruly, like him. His eyes were blue and gray. Some days they were the deepest blue and on others they were a pale, slate gray. He had known that his eyes were special, they had captivated people in the past. Strangers would stop and say the nicest things or look deeply into them and smile.

His parents were each born into large families that had overcome the ravages of depression to achieve the new American dream. Irish, Portuguese, and Polish families moved to Ludlow to begin their own American dream and Rick's dad brought his young family to Ludlow for its schools and clean neighborhoods. When Rick was three his died in a car accident and as he grew up from child to boy he couldn't stop thinking about how different his life would be if only his father were still alive.

There had been a long list of counselors to get over the loss, or to get over drinking. His past was littered with appointments made and missed. The state had ordered his attendance at various group meetings to learn about his behavior and how it was affecting his life. The whole idea was to give a drunk something to do so he doesn't drink, right? After all, how good can it be for a guy to continuously talk about something in order not do it? It eludes me how that's supposed to work.

In the meetings he had attended in the past Rick would describe his past as if it were someone else.

"I have love in my life."

"I love ice cream, that's a love."

"I love my dog more than I do ice cream, there's emotion involved."

"I sometimes have no idea what love is all about."

"I heard it at home but didn't quite believe it."

"I love you."

"Your mother screwed us all." My oldest brother would say. he stopped loving too. He stopped so hard that he fell into depression and desperation and sorrow. He was, after all, only 12. He was in the car the night his father died, "Wasn't he?" You would have to ask him yourself if you can find him.

"Your mother is your Mother." That's my other brother, the middle child. Just enough opinion to hurt himself with his own words. The middle child goes unreported, undiscovered. This son made it. Made it through his life not without trouble, strife, fights, obscene drunkenness, but without the legal issues which can takes days, months, and years from those who do it differently.

"You just leave your mother out of this." There she is, the oldest child and only daughter. I do not care if you eat green eggs and ham, I just don't give a damn. She was lucky to be the first to leave the house. Ten years my senior, There's not much interaction, attraction, or loss. The opinion I have today is that she could have done better. On the inside.

No matter where we were there was loss for me. The days of my youth were appropriately filled with enough joy to consider it a happy childhood, but life is only as good as we believe it is and for me life was just a procession of days and nights and months and years where I wished for a moment that he was there. I had dreams and visions and pain that would fall upon me and push away my love. Push it back to a place where it became lust, where it became desire. My desire to never want to love again was strong.

My life as a teenager was spent doing what I wanted to do. By now, the home that I shared with my mother and my brother was more a hotel than a home. The rarity of having the three of us together at once inside the walls was staggering. While mom worked and my brother had his friends, I had mine. In the neighborhood, exploring around town, starting trouble with a neighbor or something like that, in a place where everyone knew your name I was nameless and the days progressed. I believe something was happening inside of me, or something was not happening inside of me. I learned to care less than I should. I let the lack of caring take me down paths I should not have gone. I could have been the best at something early on in life but I was not.

I was sixteen and on my way to Texas for the second time. It had been decided that a trip to Texas would fix all the problems I was dealing with at home. My grades were a mess. Summer school in Houston was supposed to fix me up and get me back on track. But my body was searching for my first experience, and during that summer I got exactly what I wanted.

It was a great summer for most of the time I was in Houston. I did exactly what I wanted to do outside of attending and passing the summer school program at Cy Creek. I did what was expected of me and I did more than that. That was the summer of my first sexual encounters with a woman. She had platinum hair and a funny smile and she let me in. She let me in whenever I could. She let me whenever I should not. She let me in and let me in and never thought about the day I would leave. Until it was close and the questions about what we were supposed to do were real. Now she says she's pregnant. Now she wants me more than ever before and I'm not sure what to want. My love was not for her but for the experience. I wanted to stay. I ran away and stayed in an abandoned house just wanting to stay. I did not stay though, and she was not pregnant. I was found and shipped home early. Love eluded for the first time.

Back home things quickly became usual again. By now it was just me and mom in the house. I was happy for that adjustment and I do not know if it happened before, or after I came home from Texas, but now that Brennan had been married and moved out, I began to notice that there was more that I wanted and had no plan to achieve than I ever realized before. Now was the time I should have been working on getting ahead, but I decided to stay the same. Just wanting something I could not have. My love deluded me.

I stopped caring again. It was easy to do. The things that should come naturally did not. Jobs, independence, friends, they all belonged to someone else. I worked and got fired for lack of caring, or lack of attendance. My first attempt at getting my driver's license I went the wrong way into the DMV parking and failed. These were the years that my path led me the most. But now I see it was me. I kept myself from achieving by not caring enough to succeed, to persevere. I had a crutch and I was using it on the inside. Whenever I could I would smoke to get high, drink to get drunk, and if I could do it with a friend I was satisfied. I had given enough already, and I just wanted to do what I wanted to do.

The author extends an invitation to read the first in a trilogy of Flesh Farewell fictional works from the new breakthrough writer Damian Walsh.

The virgin release of "Carne Vale" has been released on facebook to fans of fictional suspense and thrills. The first book comes out of the heart of New England, in the spring of life Rick Waters is heading for a fate much like his oldest brother Paul.

Rick Waters left town with a carnival to escape the sentence handed down on his twenty first birthday by a judge in Palmer. He was going to be free, but at what cost.

The district courthouse in Three Rivers, Massachusetts could be mistaken for a small Quaker church by anyone not familiar with its use. The courtroom is part of a single floor building with an entrance at each end and one entering the middle of the building off of Main St. When it was empty of defendants and police, judges and jurors, the courtroom looked like a sanctuary.

The presiding judge sits in a raised, legal pulpit, straddled by two lower tiers. On his right sat the prosecutor and on the left a witness chair. Below them, spanning the width of this legal alter, sat the clerk of courts. The defendants for the day sit in pews. Before the start of the day the clerk does a roll call of people in attendance to organize the cases and after each defendant had been ordered to comply, the clerk would call out another name until the list was finished. Halfway through the day they called out his name.

"Rick Waters"

He slid out of the pew. There was a mark on the floor where all the defendants would stand when their case was called. As he passed through the swinging door of the wooden railing that separated the courtroom from the gallery, it creaked its announcement at the arrival of the next offender. The courtroom would become quiet as each case was heard.

The judge continued flipping through his record as Rick stood in front of the altar. They were plenty of records to look through. The prosecutor's point of view was that it was time to send Rick Waters in for some real consequences. Her recommendation was that because Mr. Waters had not completed any of his probationary duties, there was nothing keeping the court from confining him to complete the two year suspended sentence handed down ten months ago by a visiting judge.

"Your honor, Mr. Waters has been in and out of this courtroom on misdemeanor charges involving alcohol since he was approximately sixteen." "His non compliance with the terms of his probation gives us no other option but to confine him for the remainder of his sentence up to and until he completes the terms of his confinement or he completes a program of alcohol and life skills while incarcerated."

After the prosecutor finished with her recommendation the judge spoke. He looked up from the files in front of him and into the eyes of the defendant to make sure that he understood what was happening and why he was here.

"I am revoking your probation Mr. Waters." "Due to your inability to meet the demands of your probationary sentence, you must now submit yourself to confinement in the Hampden county jail for no less than six months and no more than twenty four months." "That period of confinement begins the thirtieth of January and will continue at the jail on York St. until you complete your sentence in full or are released after successfully finishing the program of life skills and alcohol abuse counseling inside of York St."

"Mr. Waters I recommend that you get your things in order." "You have five days until your sentence begins, don't do anything stupid before then." The gavel sounded and it was then that suddenly, magically, his public defender appear, if only to usher him toward the probation office.

"You're lucky, usually they just remand people right off to jail." "Make sure to check with the probation office and pay your fee before you go." "And I don't have to tell you what will happen if you don't show up in five days kid..."

As soon as he walked out of the courthou se Rick knew it was time to get out of town or he'd spend his twenty first birthday in jail and his twenty second too.

The hope that as more and more fresh content is added to the blog rolls

the Facebook interactive, will motivate the author to produce even more
content, reports, and stories for the fans of Powerfitz.com and the
blog roll generated from Powerfitz.com. I recommend that my new friends

First,
the latest Division 4 NHRA Sportsman event for TS46 and TD4200 was less
than fruitful. Both entries were out of the competition after the first
round, and due to the resulting points standing, TS46's season is over.
The bright side to this uneventful event is our Super Pro entry SP4550,
driven by Mrs. Walsh. She stands 4th in points for her track bracket
championship, and a trip to the Division 4 bracket finals in Ennis, TX
will be her opportunity for an invitation to Pamona in the winter.

Once
the bracket finals are over, Houston raceway Park will be making up two
different bracket races, including a double points race which could
push our SP4550 into the top point position going into next year. Leave

All drag racing should wrap up in November with a Thanksgiving race at Pine Valley Raceway near Lufkin, TX.

My efforts to collect my thoughts onto digital notepads and blog rolls and posts has led me to believe that I'm glad that I went into the world of social media BEFORE I actually got myself ready to produce content en-masse. Content you see, needs to be read. It takes the eyes oif the world to mould it into something better or as good as it is right now. Think about the countless blogs that are produced but not read, ever. I'm thinking about those everytime I write something new. But not so much now, because as I write, I communicate with my social friends online. Getting them to help me make better posts and include more news and information about me. They like to hear about what and how I am doing. Forget the information, give my friends something about me, and they are ready to come back for more.

The personal side of blogging takes over when you blog about your life and ambitions. While an internet marketer looks for the next referral or membership sign-up, a writer want thoughts to come into his head so that he can get them down inside his digital library for others to see. Making friends is easy, writing to the public is hard. Make friends first and let them tell how you are doing to get the most direction while you work. Writing is work, even if you love your job.

The News is Getting Better. The Economy is in the Dumps

There is no better time to get ahead. As the economy sinks, the smart worker will find the new ways to keep money coming in. As one of the first employed workers to lose their job in March of 2008, this guy did not waste the time given to learn a new way to earn income from my computer. Now that most of my marketing is done through the articles I write, I am also able to now earn more money than I was at my old job.

No fancy membership or training got me to where I am right now. Where am I you ask? I am here, writing an entry into one of my blogs becasue all my articles have been finished for today. I am writing this to let you know that I can help you find publihers who will accept and pay for your articles. No special experience or knowledge is required. What happened to @armano?

An interesting thing happened to someone I follow on Twitter. @armano has been a favorite of mine because his design features are fresh and compliment what is happening online right now. Using his experience in design and social networking, he has cultivated a following of expectant friends and fans.

Recent events from the posts of @armano have been unexpected, and show how hard it is to do something good in front of a large group of people. The two sides are represented by those who see his actions as so above reproach that any criticism is blaspheme and those, like me, who see a weakness in not doing what we do best. @armano does great presentations and creative, I do not think though that a foray into philanthropy did him any favors.

I am not charitable. As a small family, we donated under $100 last year. We did though, offer our time to a number of church, school, and family needs that without our help would not be able to benefit from our good deeds. So take away the money, or in this case, start asking for money, and I immediately look at the participants, the reason, and the promotion.

Using Twitter, Facebook, and his own personal connections combined with a method for donation, a sum of money was raised to help a deserving family threatened by domestic violence and/or abuse. A spouce and 3 children (one with downs syndrome) have no where to go. My man @armano and his small family decide the time had come to help, and @daniela was the one they were going to help.

Creatively successful @armano was successful and his goals achieved. Right? Heck no, he's dealing with reprecussions of the action (even though the cause again is irreproachable) and in an effort to control what percieved damage there may be, he went ahead and posted his last post (not the way to end what he started). In it he describes what has happened, gives links to the relevant information when asked, and informs those who may read how unprepared he was and unconscious to the ramifications prior to beginning the effort.

It looks like @armano has had to take a hit to his reputation while trying to do the right thing. Consider that with a proper plan and exit strategy, it would have been a leading example of how to do what he wanted to do.

Something that added to my inability to see this as a success was @armano now responsible for 5 children in bed at his house. Devotion and emotion should not be coupled with responsibility where the responsible parties seem to be no where in sight.

Do what it is you do best and let others take advantage of your gift. Changing direction suddenly requires an expertise in change that only few of us can muster.

The Internet is still run by users. I'm a user. You're a user. What we do when we are "using" continues to be influenced by the latest trends in search results and what others are using when they go online. If you asked me five years ago how to find things online, I would tell you to insert a phrase into Yahoo's search engine, and pick through the results. Not any more.

I wonder how long it would take for me to say the word "social" when talking about the Internet today? Not because I like the word, but because the Internet has suddenly become a viral social environment where everything is "suggested" and "recommended" rather than "resulted". The good ole days of search engine dominance is going away, and you can see that in the multiplying numbers of online social networks and social network "users".

You want users. I want users. We just don't want to be used. That paradigm is how search engines are going to be less relied on when consumers go looking for information online. Search engine results are only results. It takes more than a good web designer to turn visitors into clients because these new clients want your designer to be available when they need them. Not only should you be prepared to describe your message statically, but your message now needs a life of its own to be truly a viable product.

The average online session is increasing while the time spent on business or shopping sites is down. This is a direct result of social networks that are retaining the dominant percentage of time spent at one location, while the number of links to outside sources from social sites is increasing dramatically. What this statistic shows is that while people spend more time on the social site, they are clicking through and making sales using recommended links offered through their network of friends on social and bookmarking sites whose networks have exploded in numbers in 2008.

One way to give your message a voice is by presenting your message socially. If you are not going to develop this now, you will have to in the future. Where the online community goes, so goes all the business that can be retained from those users who continue to alter the way they interact with the Internet. The New is Definitely NOT the old!

Monday, October 27th caused me to interact with designer-daily, so I took the opportunity to write a post about my favorite new design.

It is not the old standby that gets my emotions and creative juices flowing anymore. Internet design is something else though. My natural attraction to visual stimulus is easily placated, but my need for updated information controls the impulse to whittle away hours on useless sites. The internet is not new to me.

Back then I created a pack of carshows to give myself something to write about. Something my fans would need to plan their schedules, something to get them there. Not anymore. Now my visitors will dive into my information for exactly what they want. They'll even bring it with them if I recommend that the best way to get something back, is to become involved. And we don't even have to be friends.

Now it seems I'm just so many seconds behind my friend who just posted something online. But this is about design is it not? What design is my favorite? where you can find me duplicating and visualizing what excites me about that present form of information. Am I interacting, am I reading, am I finding out something new...new..new..new?

It's like sending out a scout plane to search for new land masses from which to grow a new base. My empire is only as big as the land I build. Tools of expansion? Words. I may use less voice but my words are growing into streams of information. Take the best features of design and build something to put words into or pull out of, and the new design of the internet is old again. My new design features excellent writing with instant interaction while traveling around to various locations online. Stop into The Internet Buddy System and pick up a friend to surf with. Recommend together. That's my new, I wonder how long it will be before it's not just and idea anymore?

Now that I've given myself a moment to write a random thought down, I'll tell you what my new favorite design is. It's the shared desktop Symbaloo. I found it on a scouting mission to Social Marker. A new landmass from which I can place all my new news. Do you Symbaloo? Fully integrated shareable desktops perfect for my attraction to visual aspects of great design features. To be successful growing Powerfitz.com and our vision for it, the work has been multiplying as we look to take advantage of the holiday seasons this year. How to increase your website traffic with zero cost'. It's a bold statement don't you think. But, believe me it's true. You can increase your traffic by 1000% with no cost involved if you do it the right way. Continue reading if you want to know how.

I've outlined 5 ways to reach your target. But, please keep in mind that these are not the only ways that you can do to increase your traffic. There are hundreds of techniques to increase traffic. But these one are the proven one. I've used it personally. More importantly, these techniques can get you FREE traffic. You're money is saved in your pocket. Let's go to the first one.

Technique #1: Linking strategy

Be persistent. If they don't want to link to your site, ask them to trade link instead (reciprocal link). This is the last resort you want to have.

Word of warning: Don't crowd your site with too many links. Only accept link trading if it's really worth it.

Technique #2: Offer Free eBooks or articles

You'll fall in love with this technique if you see what it can do to your site. This technique can create an excellent'Viral marketing' effect. It can multiply the no of visitors to your site in a matter of days.This most important thing about this technique is that to offer something that is really useful to your visitor. So useful that they can only get that information from you!

You need to the 'wants' in your need market. What problems do they encounter? Solve these problems and you have a killer articles or e-book that you can give away for free. Remember, don't sell it. Give it away for free. If you feel really reluctant to give your article or e-book for free, you can give your visitors a partial of it. But, make sure it's really useful. A classic Pay-for-Traffic tale that should be read by every website and blog owner who is attracted to these Pay-Per-click trafic generators.

A few years ago, we were struggling to drive traffic to one of our websites. We were immediately overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge and skill it took to successfully drive traffic to our site. We had assumed that if we created a site that was worth seeing, it would be seen. We could not have been more wrong.

We ran into a number of companies who offered to take over this daunting task for us. We decided to try out a number of them to see how our competition stacks up.

They offered many packages of visitors. I remember my first purchase. I bought 5,000 targeted hits from them for $10. My product cost $15 at the time, so I figured at least 1 person out of 10,000 would purchase. The days went by, and my counter went crazy.

The Results

After our contract expired, all my hits had been delivered as expected. I did not have one sale!!

Not a single one of them navigated past our main page. My stats script will also tell me where my traffic was referred from, and what keywords they used. All of these hits had the same referral, and didn't use keywords. This last fact isn't important, because any company, good or bad, will redirect their traffic sources through their domain. This is just to keep competitors from stealing their sources (good or bad).

I believe that these company's are going to pay for their greed and dishonesty sometime in the near future.

In the next few pages, we are going to reveal exactly how these greedy companies scam you. This will help you avoid such scams, and put your money to good use, instead of wasting it.

You Will Be Shocked at what these company's do to send you traffic!

This is the most immoral, unethical, and dishonest business practice I have ever come across online. These companies know exactly what they're doing. After all, if their traffic methods work, wouldn't they use it themselves? Why is a company offering millions of hits to their visitors, when they are only getting 10-15 hits a day? They don't use their own methods, because they know their hits are useless.

I fell victim to this scam, as have thousands of others. These companies give you a sales pitch something like this...

Suppose that you sell a product for $25 and that in a worst case scenario only 1% of your visitors purchase your product.

An average site gets less than 100 hits per day (3,000/month). Thus, approximately 30 people will purchase the product every month (1% of 3,000). That means you are taking in only $750 per month (30 x $25)

With our service: Suppose the site owner (you) purchases 100,000 visitors with our service. Using our assumption that only 1% of visitors will purchase the product, a total of 1,000 purchases will be made. That's a value of$25,000! And that is if only 1% of visitors purchase the product! Think about the return on your investment!

If you're like me, you got pretty excited when you read that. After all, there's no conceivable way you can't at least earn your investment back, right? WRONG!!

You give in, order their service, and at first, you get excited, because traffic is pouring in! Soon you realize that your money is earning you nothing. In fact it's costing you your bandwidth, and not delivering any results! Of course no company, no matter how credible they are, can guarantee you sales. That depends highly on your ad copy, price, and the demand of the item. I can guarantee though, that some of these company's have thousands of clients, and not one of their clients has ever made a sale.

I bought my traffic... Now where are all my orders?

Now remember, worst case scenario is that 1% of your visitors will buy your product. Right? WRONG! If that's the case, then where are your orders? These company's place these ads right in your face when you visit their website. This way, your sold before you even see the price, and you'll buy into their high prices. Naturally you are going to believe that you'll pay off your "investment" right away, and make a ton of extra money. After all, you spent hours writing that "perfect ad," so you're going to draw in a lot more than 1%.

You sit there and watch traffic come flying in at hyperspeed. Then they fly out. You don't make any sales. What do you do now? If you're like me, you're going to email them, complaining how you didn't make any sales from their services. They're going to tell you some variation of the following...

"I'm sorry you didn't make any sales. If you read our terms, you would see that we can only guarantee that we send the traffic to you. The sales are your responsibility. We cannot guarantee sales, because we are not involved in the writing of the advertisement."

This leaves them clean from delivering any refunds. Trust me, they won't refund your money!
Starting to get suspicious? The truth is your traffic was delivered in a misleading way.

You were sent FAKE VISITORS, or GHOST VISITORS, as they are widely called online.
Have you been tracking your traffic?

Many people don't realize that there are free scripts that you can install on your site to track detailed statistics about your traffic. I'm not talking about counters. Counters are inaccurate, plus they don't tell you anything about your visitors. If you actually monitor your traffic, you can learn lots of things about your visitors. Including the countries they're from, their IP addresses, the time they came to your site, the time they left your site, the site's they were referred from (google, yahoo, etc..), and the keywords they used to search for your site.

My statistics were shocking!

The traffic I ordered had no IP address, no search engine, none of my visitors navigated past the front page! I paid for these "Guarantee'd Real Visitors," and I have the right to know where they come from. Guess what, I figured it out! A few of the hits that they had sent, slipped up, and didn't disguise their origin as well as they should have...

I kept seeing the same IP address over and over and over again about 900 times in one day. I thought somebody out there really must love my web site or it's the scam hit company I hired. Well I clicked the link that night which was labeled with an IP address, not the actual web site .com name itself just the numbers of the IP address....I clicked that and wouldn't you know it? I received just a site telling me it doesn't exist.

With my campaign still running the next day along with all the "unknown" places I seen a peculiar url and had to click that to see where over 500 of the same people were coming from and I ended up in Pop Up hell! You know that hell don't you? Where you are swarmed with so many pop ups that you literally have to pull the plug on your computer to get out of it? The sad part about that link is that all the Pop Ups were from PORNO sites!

It's no wonder these companies don't tell where they deliver their traffic from! After all, what ethical business wants to advertise on those disgusting adult sites?

So you want to know exactly how this all works?

After following the slipped up referral link, I was directed to a website where anyone can post their own free adult site. (If your going to try and follow these links yourself, I would suggest switching your browser to text only mode, as I did. Otherwise you'll get flooded with pop-ups, and disgusting porno pictures.)

Now we have determined that my traffic was coming from this site, but I didn't see my site at all...

I switched back to my traffic log, and hit refresh. I WAS STUNNED! At the top of my log, I had 12 hits to my site, all with my IP address!!! By viewing this site just once, I recieved 12 hits!!
I switched over to http://www.alexa.com/. Alexa is a site ranking service, that can tell you how popular a site is. This adult site that I was listed on was recieving 786,376 hits per day, on average during that week. Multiply that by 12, and that's where all my traffic came from!
So now we know what site is generating the traffic, but how are they disguising the IP address. Why wasn't my site ever shown on screen to me? The answer lies in the HTML source code...

Here are the secret codes!!

One of the tricks that these companies use is a the way they hide where your traffic is coming from. The way they do this is through a redirect code. A redirect code is simply a cade that webmasters use on their websites to take one website and send it another way.

The biggest trick is how they can mysteriously load your site multiple times, without you seeing it. They do this by embedding your site into theirs, and making it tiny. So tiny in fact, that it looks like a period. So instead of using periods at the end of their sentances, they just embed their clients sites sites to look like a period.

Testing the Embed Script

Now open it in your web browser. What you get is a small box in the left hand corner of your website. For this example, I made the code 5x larger than these companies do. So you can see how easily they disguise these sites. Inside that little square, is actually an entire website!!
So your thinking, they just embed my site into that little square, 10-15 times on the page, and that's where my hits come from. Yes, and No. Essentially that's how it works, but if they put your website into that square, you could easily trace the traffic back to the adult site. So what they do is put their redirect page into that square, and redirect it to your site, so now it looks like all the traffic is coming from them.

So let's put it all together.

You order traffic from a traffic company.

The traffic company creates a free adult site and lists it into a directory of free adult sites. According to our alexa review these sites get 786,376 hits per day. If their redirect page gets 12 hits every time someone loads the adult site, that means they have an average of 9,436,512 hits per day, which they divide among their clients.

For some of the Monster Traffic Companies, 9.5 million visitors a day just isn't enough. They can easily turn that 9.5 million visitors, into as many as they need. Instead of embedding the redirect page. They embed a page full of these periods. That way, when their "period farm" page loads, they can have as many sites load as they want.

They simply change the redirect page to whatever client they want the traffic sent to.
Your counter goes crazy, and all your hits are delivered. You never make a sale. Now you can understand how you could have thousands of visitors sent your way, and never make a sale. The title could have easily been "Reports from the GUTTER", considering where everyone starts from and where most of them end up.
The advent of the computer for me was somewhere in the '85 area. My best friend who happens to be my brother purchased his first AMD box and so began the love for this tool of expression.
Before this, there wasn't much to do but have a circle of friends, and interact with them on a totally physical plane of existence. Regardless of ability of charm, you had to survive face-to-face with the rest of the world. What an awful way to live.
Now, Empire could be played, and the beginning of the experience of role-play, and electronic interaction began. Soon the ideas were flowing, and the fingers flying to produce original content and information that aided us in our daily lives, or for future use, when the world would catch on to this new "toy".
Zip forward 10 years and now the real world of computing was happening for us. Content, business, news of millionaires being made, were running through our heads and how were we going to get there. We had experienced and practiced enough effective computing to consider that anything was possible if the directives were followed.
What happened next is a good example of what not to do, though the value of the experience was priceless, having to recreate something similar but different is going to be the challenge.
